How to use this calendar
The remaining 2026 dates and all 13 dates for 2027 match the official Haad Rin schedule checked on 20 September 2026. Dates refer to the party evening in Thailand, not your flight, ferry or hotel check-out date. The upcoming view removes past calendar dates; local or government announcements can still change a future edition. Calendar verification is not confirmation of tickets, rooms or transport.
Why a party may not fall on the exact full moon
Major Buddhist observances can affect alcohol sales and event timing in Thailand. Organizers may move the party by a day, and exceptional weather or local decisions can also affect operations.
When to book
For regular months, book once your travel dates are firm. For the December editions, reserve accommodation and ferries earlier because Christmas and New Year demand overlaps with the party crowd.
Plan the ferry and the journey to Haad Rin separately
Start with your actual arrival point, then check the sailing date, departure pier and Koh Phangan arrival pier with the operator. A ticket to Thong Sala is not a transfer to the party beach. If you fly to Koh Samui, allow for the road journey from the airport to the selected pier as well as check-in. Use the ferry guides below for route comparisons; this calendar does not confirm a late-night sailing or a same-night return.
Choose your base before confirming the room
Compare Haad Rin, Baan Tai and Thong Sala in the Full Moon accommodation guide. Decide whether walking access or distance from the party matters more to you, then check the exact property location. Ask the property about minimum nights, check-in, cancellation and the full price for your stay. Do not assume a party date includes accommodation or guarantees a room.
Arrange the return before the party
Agree on a pickup point, a return option and the fare before heading out. A rental car can be useful for other island days, but it is not a plan for driving after drinking. Arrange a sober driver or a confirmed transfer for party night. Keep your accommodation address available offline and leave time to rest before an onward journey.
- Check the latest organizer announcement, then confirm each booking separately.
- Bring only essentials and agree on a meeting point with your group.
Frequently asked questions
What is the next Full Moon Party date?
As rechecked on 20 September 2026, the next scheduled edition is Tuesday, 27 October 2026.
Are 2027 dates published?
Yes. The official schedule currently publishes 13 editions from 22 January through the New Year countdown on 31 December 2027. Every future date remains subject to local or government announcements.
Is New Year’s Eve a Full Moon Party?
The official calendar lists a separate New Year countdown edition on 31 December 2026.
Should I recheck before travelling?
Yes. Recheck the organizer schedule and your ferry operator, particularly when a date sits near a public or religious holiday.
Can I return to Koh Samui after the party?
Only plan this around a sailing confirmed by the operator for your exact date and direction. A daytime ferry listing does not confirm overnight service. Check the departure pier, check-in time and transfer from Haad Rin before booking; do not assume a return boat will be available.
Does this calendar include tickets or accommodation?
No. It lists published dates. Tickets, rooms, ferries and transfers are separate arrangements with their own prices and terms. Maya can help check options, but opening WhatsApp or sending a request does not confirm a booking.
